To enhance privacy and airspace safety within a prominent school campus in Indonesia, our team deployed a compact and intelligent counter-drone system designed specifically for non-military, civilian environments. In recent years, the school had experienced several incidents involving unidentified drones flying over its premises, raising serious concerns over student privacy, data security, and public safety.
Our solution was tailored to the unique needs of educational institutions—discreet in appearance, safe in function, and compliant with local regulations. The system utilized RF spectrum detection technology to passively monitor drone signals without transmitting any electromagnetic interference, ensuring no disruption to the school’s Wi-Fi, communication, or academic equipment.
The deployment included directional antennas and advanced signal analysis software capable of identifying both drone and pilot locations in real-time. When an unauthorized UAV is detected, the system can trigger immediate alerts to the school’s security team and initiate controlled countermeasures—such as signal interference or visual tracking—if approved by authorities.
Installed on key rooftops across the campus, the system provides 360° coverage of the school’s airspace and has already proven effective in detecting and deterring several unapproved drone activities. This not only protects the privacy of students and staff but also prevents potential misuse of drone technology for unauthorized filming or surveillance.
This case illustrates how lightweight, regulation-compliant counter-drone solutions can play a vital role in securing civilian spaces like schools—balancing airspace safety, personal privacy, and the peaceful operation of educational environments.
