In response to increasing drone activity near critical logistics infrastructure, our team successfully deployed an integrated drone detection and countermeasure system at a key port facility in Shandong Province, China. As one of the busiest commercial ports in the region, this site faces elevated risks from unauthorized drone operations, including aerial surveillance, cargo route monitoring, and potential disruptions to maritime logistics.
To address these challenges, we implemented a fully integrated solution combining long-range radar, RF signal detection, electro-optical tracking, and intelligent jamming capabilities. The system is configured for 360° coverage and can operate under diverse environmental conditions such as fog, salt air, and fluctuating light levels commonly experienced in coastal regions.
One of the core advantages of this deployment is its real-time automatic threat response—the system autonomously detects incoming UAVs, assesses their threat level using AI classification algorithms, and executes appropriate countermeasures such as signal disruption or tracking alerts to the security team. Additionally, it was seamlessly integrated into the port's existing surveillance and emergency response infrastructure.
Since commissioning, the system has detected and deterred several unauthorized drone incursions, allowing port authorities to intervene swiftly and avoid potential disruptions to logistics and customs operations. This deployment not only enhances the port’s airspace safety but also sets a new standard for drone defense in critical maritime zones.
Our work in Shandong demonstrates our ability to secure high-traffic, mission-critical environments with adaptable and intelligent counter-UAV technologies.
