On September 3, 2025, during the Victory Day parade commemorating China’s victory in the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, the People’s Liberation Army (PLA) unveiled several advanced military systems, including new unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). These new technologies emphasize China’s growing defense capabilities.
The Feihong FH-97 and its advanced version, the FH-97A, developed by the Aerospace Times Feihong Technology Corporation, took center stage. These drones feature an integrated weapons bay capable of carrying air-to-air and air-to-ground missiles, reinforcing China’s aerial combat and counter-UAV operations. The FH-97A was displayed alongside the J-20 stealth fighter, demonstrating the synergy between manned and unmanned systems in China’s military arsenal.
The parade featured over 10,000 personnel, hundreds of aircraft, and a range of ground vehicles. Among the showcased systems were directed-energy weapons, electronic jamming devices, and missile-defense technology, all domestically produced, underscoring China’s self-reliance and military strength.
